The sequel to one of the best Star Wars games of recent times, Star Wars Force Unleashed 2, is about to hit the shops, but with Nintendo Wii, DS, Sony Playstation 3 and Microsoft Xbox 360 version all in the pipeline, which one will be the Jedi Master when it’s released on the 29th October 2010.

The storyline will be pretty much the same across the board; picking up 6 months after the first game, the story follows the return of Starkiller, despite his death in the original. With a cloning facility at the heart of his rebirth, Starkiller is out for revenge and to be reunited with his former love interest Juno Eclipse. However, Darth Vader and his tame bounty hunter Boba Fett are scouring the galaxies in search of Starkiller following his escape from the cloning facility on Kamino and so the force is well and truly unleashed once again. The trailer looks amazing.
The original game was amazing across all platforms, but the PS3 & Xbox 360 versions definitely had the edge in terms of graphics and the same will be the case this time around sadly. The Playstation 3 & Xbox 360 version will have a lifelike feel, while Nintendo’s Wii version will be slightly more cartoon-like. The DS version seems like a simple platformer, so I’m not really considering that much as an option for the Sith Lord of the releases.
However, the best part of the original release is that it put a lightsaber in your hands with the Wii version, and the same amazing battle experience will be back with Star Wars Force Unleashed 2. Irrespective of the glorious graphics on the PS3 & Xbox 360, I’ve got to go for the Wii version. Nothing compares to actually flicking on your lightsaber and duelling with big bad Sith lords. In an ideal world we’d have perfect graphics & perfect gameplay. Hopefully the Wii 2 will sort that out.
