Spiritualized to release new album Sweet Heart Sweet Light
Space rock (and roll) with a sliding psychedelic magic torch ride ending of epic proportions, it's got good things written all over it. Standing at a "probably too long for radio" 8:55 it may not get too many full length air time, but I reckon it's going to be a player slayer with the loop people will probably give to it.
It's pretty much 2 tracks in 1, with an opening fuzzy rock n roller Hey Jane followed up with instrumental mentalness and a calling Sweet Heart Sweet Light psych chant out. The guitar melodies are sting and ringing with fuzz and the driving rhythm is infectious.
Spiritualized will be releasing both Sweat Heart Sweet Light, along with single, Hey Jane, on the 16th April 2012. After nearly 4 years since their last album, it's a welcome return for the Rugby space hoppers.
