Recorded in 2010 and 2011, High Flying Birds will be released on the 17th October 2011. Some of the track listings are sort of familiar, especially the unreleased one-time Oasis song Stop the Clocks. Written by Noel Gallagher, it was supposed to be released on Don’t Believe the Truth in 2004, but never made it in the final cut, and then the rumours of its appearance on the compilation album of the same name turned out to be unfounded, but now it’s seeing the light of day. Other unreleased, Noel penned Oasis songs include (I Wanna Live in a Dream in My) Record Machine, Everybody's on the Run and If I Had a Gun.
Noel Gallager’s High Flying Birds will also start their small-scale world tour in Dublin on the 23rd October with venues on the modest side to start with.
