Neil Cousin, Bonfire

Neil Cousin
With a release date of November 5th, Neil Cousin’s Bonfire brings indie-folk sounds just in time for the height of autumn. Filled with lingering acoustic finger picking, echoing pipes and a brief flash of strings, it’s melancholic air matches the time of year pretty well.

Leaving the house in the dark of a morning only to return in the same light at nights inspires a certain mood and Bonfire seems to remind you of that and to reiterate that it is only temporary.

Previewed recently on Jarvis Cocker’s show on BBC 6 Music, it’s a step up on standard folk, taking things far enough away from the stigma of one man and his guitar to sound interesting.

Neil Cousin’s Bonfire is available to download and pre-order at http://neilcousin.bandcamp.com/album/bonfire and you can listen to the title track from the debut album below.
