New operating system brings online games to the iPhone
The launch of the iPhone and the ensuing march of apps that have appeared out of nowhere may have changed the face of gaming forever. With free games for all, a whole host of maddeningly addictive games to buy for pennies and the news that the iPhone’s new operating system will allow for online gaming, Apple could be on the brink of unleashing a computer games entertainment revolution.

Apple isn’t really very well known for its gaming heritage. The Mac’s have always played second nose flute to the might of PC gaming and console warfare. However, with the iPhone & apped up iPad combined with the online hand held experience that these shiny pieces of hardware will soon deliver, maybe it’s time for Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo to step up their games for the dubbed masses.
The best part about all of this is that, with the new gaming developments at Apple, surely it’s only a matter of time for the MacBooks and iMacs to start to offer a better gaming experience. It can get a bit boring going into the Mac store for the better part of six months without seeing a new game hit the shelf. However, with Apple’s new operating system, and easy to develop gaming platform, the floodgates have been smashed wide open.
