2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa PS3 and Xbox 360 release date
In just a few months away now, so for football freaks the pinnacle of footballing action will have started to infiltrate their souls. If you’re old enough to remember the 1990 World Cup, then you’ll know that there has been none finer since, except maybe the moment when Zinadine Zidane rhino’d Roberto Materrazzi for bad mouthing his sister.
The important point is that the world cup will ignite passion throughout the footballing world, however, never has there been a genuinely brilliant World Cup computer game. You’d think with four years between development, the creators would be able to cobble something together that inspires the same passion as the actual World Cup, but to my recollection that has never been the case.
Maybe this year will be different. Maybe this year EA Sports have got it right, but only time will tell. With a release date of 27th April 2010, we’ll have a few months of testing it out before the real action kicks off. By the time the opening ceremony finishes, we will have steered England to the World Cup many time, but it’s hard to imagine the real thing doing the same.
2010 World Cup South Africa will be released on the PS3 and Xbox 360. With the potential of world wide online gaming, it’ll be great finding Argentineans to pit your strengths against.
