Flaming Lips have just announced that they will be playing live at Jodrell Bank this summer alongside British Sea Power and OKGO. The Oklahoma space cadets will headline the Jodrell Bank… Presents night on the 2nd July 2011.
Tickets work out at just under £42 after all of the add-ons.
Flaming Lips hasn't put anything out since it's 2009 albums Embryonic, a surreal collection of sound, and The Dark Side of the Moon, a brilliant re-working of the Pink Floyd classic, but they're obviously better know for Yoshimi Battle the Pink Robots and At War With the Mystics.
However, it will also be a good opportunity to catch OKGO, whose Of the Blue Colour of the Sky release last year slipped under the radar a little, despite being a decent album.
It'll all take place under the shadow of the Lovell Telescope, so should be somewhere on the good side. Tickets are available from Ticketline, and you can find out more information at:
