Arctic Monkeys, Suck It and See single review and video

Arctic Monkeys, Suck It and See single video
Suck It and See is by far the best single to be released from Arctic Monkeys' album of the same name, and with a Suck It and See rock and roll video to go with it maybe the Monkeys are back on track to the top once again.

Opening out with melodic balance that was a big part of the brilliant Submarine soundtrack, it freewheels into an alt-rock romance of epic proportions. There's also a subtle, fun-loving joke running running through both the lyrics of the song and the Focus Creeps’ directed video that makes it the genius that it is.

Matt Helders takes the starring role in the video pretty well with a wild west hottie of a brunette Country Girls variety. His only downfall is a poor effort in the love scene kiss. It was inspired by fragments of Matt Helders' outlaw "lost weekend" out in the Wild West. Having been to there recently, I reckon it looks like he made the most of it.

Suck It and See will be available on 7” and digital download with new song Evil Twin on the 31st october 2011. All that's left to say is, "suck it and see, you never… know-how!"

Suck It and See single review: 4.4/5
