Marina & the Diamonds "The Family Jewels" album release date
Marina and the Diamonds' upcoming debut album "The Family Jewels" is set to be released on the 22nd February according to Wikipedia, and as we all know it's the font of all knowledge. Actually that's a bit unfair; I do most of my best research on Wikipedia. However, on the Marina and the Diamonds' website it says something about the 1st Feb, but I think that might be the launch date for the new single "Hollywood", which is a lot more pop than her other, better songs.
If that's true, then I guess it backs up the info on Wikipedia. Anyway, whatever the story, February looks like judgment month for Marina. Yesterday, I’d completely bought into to it all, but then I heard "Hollywood" and saw the video, and it kind of put me off a bit. Despite the chat in the song, it kind of does look like she's been restyled by a hand from the tinsel wood. Not sure if irony covers everything, but we'll just have to wait and see. "Obsessions" and "Mowgli's Road" will probably take the edge of anything I say though. Cool songs, and great videos.
