Iron Man 2 is set for a UK release date of April 30th 2010 and will also star Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer, the films other baddy alongside Whiplash. Don Cheadle has been cast as Lieutenant Colonel James Rhodes - a.k.a War Machine, Iron Man’s armoured ally.
With talk of an alcoholism plot line for Stark, along with the introduction of Mandarin to the franchise, there should be enough elements of the comic book series to keep the die hard fans happy. For the rest of us, Iron Man 2 looks set to be a roller coaster ride of massive proportions. Mickey Rourke’s Whiplash looks impressive in the trailer, so the final battle could be epic, and from the sound of things there will be a few surprises along the way.
