Axis of Awesome get set to rock...

The living sh** out of the Edinburgh Fringe festival. If you haven’t heard of Axis of Awesome, they’re well worth looking out for. They’re an Australian musical comedy act that are a bizarre cross between Flight of the Concords, Spinal Tap and Tenacious D.

They’ve got 2 shows running throughout August at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival at the Gilded Balloon Teviot and hopefully a British tour will be on the way at some time in the not too distant future. While they can be a bit hit and miss at times, they’ve got more than enough “awesome” music to make their shows class.

Perhaps their most impressive track is Four Chords Song (check out the video), which features sixty songs all sung with just four chords. While there’s a bit of judicious transposition involved, it’s still pretty impressive.
