Tuppence Magazine UK is an entertainment, news & reviews website that delivers my take and your take on stuff from the music world, films, television (like The Mystery of the Nevada Triangle) books, games, food, politics, theatre, comedy, art and fashion.
The Mystery of the Nevada Triangle will investigate the bizarre goings on in Nevada airspace. It’s all going to sound very X Files, but there have been a series of mystery airplane disappearances over Nevada going back for years. The recent disappearance of Steve Fossett, the first person to complete a solo balloon flight around the world, in September 2007 led to a much deeper investigation of the region, and it being dubbed the Nevada triangle.
Coming to Channel 4 Monday 4th January 2010, The Mystery of the Nevada Triangle will investigate a number of possibilities for the phenomenon, including rumours that Fossett was in fact in Argentina, or that he had faked his own death, as well as talk of US government conspiracy theories, alien abduction and local atmospheric effects.
Steve Fossett’s disappearance provoked the largest peace-time search and rescue operation in the history of the USA. The Mystery of the Nevada Triangle write-up on Channel 4 says that the film reveals what happened to Fossett, but how far will it go to explain the hundreds and thousands of disappearances in and around the so called Nevada triangle.
With the fact that the area also includes the top secret Area 51 military base, The Mystery of the Nevada Triangle could be a hit with sci-fi fans, documentary lovers and conspiracy theorists alike. Not entirely sure why I like the sound of it, but for some reason I do. Maybe it’s the same reason I like the prospect of a night with Helen Mirren.
