Super Mario on the 3DS is a hybrid of elements from Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and the more recent Super Mario Galaxy games. It’s definitely one of the best looking 3DS games to be announced and one of the first to be created solely for the hand held console.

The animation and graphics look really sharp and if the gameplay for Super Mario 3DS is anything like the other 3D styled Mario games, it should be a classic in the making. With the Nintendo 3DS coming down in price at the moment this will probably be a big release for Nintendo in the run up to Christmas. The big news though is that Mario’s racoon suit tail from Super Mario 3 is set to make a return in 3D glory.

With an average rating of five stars from customer reviews on Amazon and mostly 90%+ reviews from the press and computer games magazines, Super Mario 3DS looks set to return Mario to the top of the gaming tree where he belongs. In our review of Super Mario 3D Land we gave the game 4.4/5.

Super Mario 3DS
News about Super Mario 3DS was a little slim on the ground from the guys at Nintendo when it was first announced. We've known about it since E3, but now the full release has hit the shelves and details have been announced.

Launched on the 18th November 2011, it’s called Super Mario 3D Land and it literally looks amazing. However, as always, it comes down to gameplay with Mario games and Super Mario 3D Land seems to be blistering.
