Naomi Campbell launches her charity event Fashion for relief with Sarah Brown at Somerset House, London

She’s the supermodel made famous by a deluge if assault charges, but that hasn’t stopped Naomi Campbell from doing her bit every now and again. Along with Sarah Brown, Gordon’s better half, Naomi launched the 2010 Fashion for relief fundraiser event.

Created by Campbell, the annual catwalk show features famous faces taking to the stage in a variety of outfits by designers including Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and Dolce & Gabbana. Last year’s show featured the likes of Lizzy Jagger and Ashley Cole.

Launched at Somerset House yesterday (25th January 2010) Fashion for Relief will take place on the 18th February 2010, just before the start of London’s Fashion Week.

At the end of the show, all of the dresses will be auctioned for charity, with this year’s proceeds going to the victims of the earthquake disaster in Haiti.

Maybe with her new charity image we’ve seen the last of Naomi’s more controversial side.
