London Fashion Week is coming up again soon with Autumn Winter 2011 kicking off down the runway on the 18th February, running through to the 22nd with a menswear day on the 23rd. With the dates set and a provisional schedule released by the British Fashion Council, the fashion world is poised for another blitz of London couture.
So, how can you get in on the fashion action? The show is for fashion trade peeps only, so the best chance for you to get up close and personal with some of the best designers from London Fashion Week is at London Fashion Weekend, which takes place from the 24th to the 27th February 2011. Tickets start at £13 for Black Entrance on the Friday and Sunday and go up to £125 for Platinum Club Lounge access on either the morning or afternoon on Saturday 26th.
As well as the London Fashion Weekend, you’ll also be able to see some of the shows live online thanks to the London Fashion Week TV (http://www.londonfashionweek.co.uk/lfw_tv_home.aspx). While hob nobbing will be restricted to biscuits alone, at least you’ll get a sneak peak at the new designs for 2011.
The 2011 Autumn Winter London Fashion Week sees a number of new additions to the schedule, including British menswear heritage icons Dunhill and the return of Aquascutum. However, the show’s annual gem is the Vivienne Westwood Red Label catwalk show, which will be held at 4pm on Sunday 20th February.
