H & M online clothing store launch

H & M, Hennes and Mauritz, opens up its own online clothing store just in time for Autumn and Winter 2010. The site went live on the 16th of September, but does it stand a chance against the established online brands like ASOS, UNIQLO and Topshop?

The H & M store website home page looks pretty stylish with big glossy campaign images on a short and easy to navigate single page. There are women's, men's, kids, cosmetics, home and sale sections, so there's something for everybody, making it pretty competitive compared to the other big name online clothing stores.

H & M deliveries take as long as a week to get through and will set you back a stinging £3.90, so I'd imagine that's probably going to be a big put off for a lot of online shoppers. However, if you think about how much is costs to get to your local high street and compare the prices, they're probably not that far apart. The biggest negative has got to be the delivery time, but this is probably something that will improve eventually.

H & M's online clothing store is a decent entry to the marketplace. With products displayed with real models instead of hanging loosely on thin air and a really slick website navigation system, it's got a lot in it's favour.
