Give up clothes for good - Class at last at T.K. Maxx

Give up clothes for good, TK Maxx
It’s been a long time since I’ve been to T.K. Maxx. I remember every item of clothing that I have ever bought there and I have a genuine fondness for each and every one of them, so I don’t quite know why I’ve stayed away for so long. Maybe it’s the fact that they have dropped off the radar slightly or the jumble sale feel that I associate with a trip to the store, but either way, I haven’t bought anything T.K. Maxxy in years. Without a single classy piece of communication that has registered with me and the chav label lover stereotype, I’ve had no reason to go.

However, in its new campaign, Give up clothes for good, it has produced a combination of class, good intentions and whit that has made me reassess my opinions. Maybe there’s more to T.K. Maxx than I have marked it down for in the past.

The idea is to take your bags of quality unwanted clothes to T.K. Maxx stores where they will be donated for the good of Cancer Research UK, with particular emphasis on childhood cancers. With each bag having a possible worth of up to £30, it’ll be the easiest conscience quelling donation you’ll make (unless you’re Bill Gates).

Running between the 5th and the 25th May 2010, it’s your chance to clear out your wardrobe and give a little back to the world around you. From my point of view, T.K. Maxx are doing everyone a favour, and they’re going up in my estimation all at the same time.

5/5
