Dave Gorman's Sit down, pedal pedal, stop and stand up goes on tour, including the Hammersmith Apollo

If you don’t remember Dave Gorman, he’s the guy that does those presentation stand up things that once were on th’ telly. Apart from randomly seeing him do an interview at the Haye Festival in Haye on Wye last summer, I haven’t really seen much of him in ages. Luckily, he’s got a new show on the road and he’s taking it pretty literally.

In his 2009 show Sit down, pedal pedal, stop and sand up  Dave cycled for 1500 miles around our fair isle to make it to a different gig every night. However, the runaway (sorry) success of it all has forced him to keep performing and so it is set to continue into 2010... sans bicyclette the lazy twot.

Perhaps the strangest bit of info about the tour is that the show isn’t actually about the journey. If it isn’t about the journey, then what’s the ruddy point of it all Dave. Maybe if it had been about the journey I would have cycled to see it and chuckled at the funny slides about your journey anecdotes. Ah the fun we could have had, but now it’s ruined.

Anyway, as well as the Hammersmith Apollo gig on the 20 Feb 2010 (around 21 squid), Dave will also be putting on shows all over the place throughout February and March (non of them with a bike though), including Folkestone, Tunbridge Wells and Llandudno. I’m not going until he cracks the bike presentation out.
