In an exciting move from high street fashion retailer, H&M, they managed to bring in the might of the fashion styling of design legends Versace to create a new range for their online and high street stores. Versace for H&M was the surprise pairing of the year that will give the average fashion lover a chance to get a little of the classic Versace style for the kind of high street prices that didn’t break the bank.
The collaboration launched at over 300 stores worldwide, including locations in the United Kingdom and the States, along with online sales on the 17th November 2011 at 9am. In terms the designs in the range, they looked like they had been crafted out of the best elements of Versace’s thirty six year history in the fashion world, combined with the street styles of H&M, which resulted in something very new for Autumn and Winter 2o11.
Ranging from high style to garish colour and prints, Versace for H&M was steeped in the backlog of Versace designs bringing a lot of wow factor to the possibilities of street fashion. With both a range for men and for women, it was also a great option for Christmas 2011 gifts with such an impressive fashion house attached to it.
For men, you will have needed a pretty bold outlook to take on the bright pink suit that was included in the range, or the bold print bomber jacket, but the black suit that will be launched with the collection could be one of the best additions to your wardrobes, looking as close as it gets to a perfectly tailored fit. However, with such a short-lived shelf life at the shop, we expect the designs to become collector in the future, so if you did plump for the pink suit it might be worth a fair bit later on down the line as they’ll be relatively rare.
For women, there was a huge selection of different styles to choose from, which is much more extensive than the men’s range. The gold belted crepe dress was sex kitten extreme, while the padded shoulder leather jacket was rock chic class. There was also some pretty impressive brightly coloured print tops, dresses, leggings and skinny trousers to help you set your look apart from everyone else around you.
Versace for H&M took the high street store’s style factor up by a massive notch and brought the angel wings of Versace a little closer to earth. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for the partnership to return in the not too distant future.
