Best attack up recipes

Two words… Mighty… Bananas! There are other options for attack up recipes in TotK, but none of them are quite as abundant as these. In fact we did a whole Mighty Banana farming guide because of it, if you want to read more details.

You can farm it easily in the high areas to the south of Lakeside Stable and if you just want a simple level 3 attack up then just throw five of them into a cooking pot. You can also cook four of them with pretty much any ingredient to get a level 3 and the strength of the ingredient defines how long it last for.

The best attack up recipe is to combine four Mighty Bananas with a Shard of Light Dragon Fang. This will give you a level 3 for a whopping 30-minutes, so it should be enough to help you pummel pretty much any of the enemies or bosses in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

If you don’t know how to get Light Dragon Fang, you can see what you need to do in the video below. It’s the toughest of the parts to get, so once you’ve got one you might want to use the Duplication Glitch to give yourself a good supply for the rest of TotK.

If you’re looking for alternatives to Might Bananas, you can replace these with Razorshroom or Razorshell Crabs to get similar results. However, the potassium and power rich fruit has just got such a great farming spot, so we only use these if we happen to have them.

Best defence recipes

Just like attack up, defence comes in levels up to 3. The key ingredient is either Ironshroom or Ironshell Crabs, but we favor the crabs due to their location on the beach close to the Mighty Bananas farming spot.

Crouch and approach them to pick them up and there’s also Razorshell Crabs to be found along the same stretch of coastline, so you can get a good batch of a few things in one area. Mix them with a Shard of Light Dragon’s Fang to get level 3 for nearly 14-minutes.

However, if you have this in play then you can’t have either attack up or speed up at the same time. You need to decide what’s important to you. If you just want to be able to endure more punishment then this is a good options and you can also opt for a high defence armor to go with our best defence up recipe.

Best meal for health

There are lots of recipes for meals that give you health in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, but if you want to overreach there’s one in particular that will crank up your max hearts. The first thing you need is the food, which can be either Hearty Radish, Hearty Salmon, or Hearty Bass.

You can also use Big Hearty Radish, but these are way more rare than the others and don’t duplicate like regular Hearty Radish. In fact, you can’t duplicate Hearty Salmon or Bass, so again it’s better to go with the Radish if you’re looking to cheese the system on a regular basis.

Combine four Hearty radish with a Shard of the Light Dragon’s Horn and you’ll get a recipe that temporarily increases your max hearts by thirteen. It also restore your health to that amount, so if you’ve got 11 heart containers to begin with you can go up to 24 with this brilliant recipe.

You can find Hearty Radish on the Lanayru Sky Archipelago or the South Lanayru Sky Archipelago. If you want to find out more about how to get more health, you can use the link below for our full guide.

Best Gloom affliction recipes

Sundelion is the key to fixing Gloom afflicted hearts in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. What you want is the most hearts possible restores, especially if you’ve got a lot of heart containers, so you can flood them back in action if you take a lot of damage down a chasm.

Four of them with a Shard of Light Dragon Fang will give you bounce back of +9 Gloom afflicted hearts, plus a good batch of heart refills. You can find Sundelion in abundance in the sunshine up on Sky Islands, so it really doesn’t take long to get a good batch of these.

However, it’s also possible to give yourself a certain amount of Gloom resistance using Dark Clump. You get this from boss drops in the Depths or by exchanging Poes tot he statue next to where you meet Robbie and Josha in Lookout Landing.

However, this is a strange ingredient that doesn’t seem to respond well to parts of the Light Dragon, so you need to use food. Try cooking four of them with some Raw Prime Meat to get three hearts Gloom resistance meal that will last for

Best speed up recipes

As with the other recipes on our list, the speed up boost meal has a number of options for the main ingredient ranging from the Hightail Lizard to Rushrooms. However, the two that we prefer the most are Fleet Lotus and the Hot Footed Frog, because they can both be found pretty close to each-other.

Head up to Mount Polymus in the Zora Domain and on the path up to Mipha’s Statue you can see Hot Footed Frogs one every slop sections. You can then find Fleet Lotus in the water at the bottom of the slope and more around the waterfalls on the ascent up to the mountain.

Mix four of either with a Shard of Light Dragon’s Fang to get a level 3 speed up that will last a little over 14-minutes. They also give you six and a half hearts, so they come in handy in a pinch too, so make them count.

Best stamina recipes

There are two approaches to stamina boosting recipes, with one being about a boost to stamina and the second restoring all of your stamina and overfilling it. Obviously, the latter is the best in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, because you can run your stamina down to nearly down, eat this meal and get it all back with extra to keep going a little further.

To make it you need Endura Shroom, which you can find up on North Necluda SKy Archipelago’s northern-most sky island. Blast off from the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower to get to it and you should also find Sundelion and Stambulb up there too if you’re looking to do a little TotK recipe farming.

Mix four Endura Shrooms with a Shard of the Light Dragon’s Fang and you’ll get all of your stamina restored and three quarters of a wheel overfilled. If you’ve done a lot of shrines then this will mean you’ll have a huge amount of stamina to use.

It works well as part of a strategy to get to Tobios Hollow early to do the duplication glitch without unlocking the normal route to the Construct Factory. It also means that you’ll be able to use the glider for longer if you’re trying to do your longest flight.
