This is the introduction to The Laramie Project on the Greenwich Theatre’s promotional literature and it sets up this piece of work perfectly as an insightful investigation into the reactions of the small town of Laramie.
Running from Tue 21st to Sat 25th September, the production is the brainchild of Moisés Kaufman and fellow members of the Tectonic Theatre Project who conducted interviews in the town over the course of 6 trips spanning a year and a half following the tragedy.
With massively varying responses to the incident a significant feature of the “theatrical collage”, The Laramie Project is set to be a potential groundbreaking concept that investigates the hideous crimes that people are capable of, as well as the moving & compassionate responses that tragedy can instil in us.
