It’s been a huge release for Avatar The Way of Water, so here’s our rundown of the best movie tie-in gifts and merchandise available. It’s a good mix that includes the LEGO sets that have been released for the film, along with clothing, artwork and books.
As the film came out over the Christmas holidays, it was a good opportunity to hunt for gifts for film fans. Additionally, if you love the film on the big screen you might have some Christmas vouchers left over to add to your purchasing power in the New Year.
AdvertisementThe merchandise is all available to buy from Amazon, so it should be pretty easy to locate, but drop us a comment over on Twitter if you’re struggling to find anything. Some of the gift options are import only, so you might not be able to get them before Christmas, but we’ll add in more details for each of the items to let you know if there are alternatives with quicker delivery.

Avatar: The Way of Water LEGO sets
AdvertisementWe’ll kick off the merchandise list with the LEGO sets that have been released with Avatar: The Way of Water. The biggest of these – pictured above – is the Metkayina village scene from the movie, which is where Jake (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) find themselves as the RDA draws closer to its second assault.
The characters included as figures are Neytiri, Kiri (Sigourney Weaver), Ronal and Tonowari, so there’s no Jake in this one, which is a shame. The canoe is pretty cool and the ladder up from the water works well to add to the shoreline diorama, plus you can roast some fish to keep your Na’vi well fed in the fight against the RDA.
AdvertisementThe second set is a little smaller and features Jake and Tonowari, along with a Skimwing to ride on. It’s the flying creature that you can see in the trailer and it’s clearly going to be a big part of the film.
You also get a glowing spear and a crossbow to battle it out with the RDA, which are the villains in the series that will stop at nothing to get their hands on the rare mineral unobtainium. If you want to add to your Avatar: The Way of Water merchandise collection beyond these two sets, you can check out the LEGO store, which has a number of other sets, including ones of the enemy RDA.
However, these will only be available from the 1st of January 2023 in the UK, so you’ll have to wait for the New Year. It’s just the two LEGO sets pictured above that are available in time for the film release.
Avatar: The Way of Water prints
There are plenty of options when it comes to posters for Avatar: The Way of Water, but it would be a bit of a sad entry in our list of the coolest merchandise. However, throw a bunch of them together with stylish mounts and you’ve got something a whole lot more impressive, as you can see in the image above.
The collection of six prints includes characters and scenes from the film, but its the symmetry that makes it work so well. Jake and Neytiri either side of the central image at the bottom and then the two different Skimwing shots on the top bring the collection together.
Avatar: The Way of Water books
There are two great book choices to accompany the release of Avatar 2 with the first being the art from the film. You can see it in the image above and it features the concepts that went into making it such a visually impactful movie. Its a hardcover release that includes both artwork and images from the film so you can see how they went from paper to screen.
The second book available is a visual dictionary, so that you can see the names and details for all of the creatures and plant-life that live on Pandora. It’s packed with information that you just wouldn’t get from the film, so for anyone that want to get into the minutia of the production it’s a great merch option.
Avatar: The Way of Water t-shirt
There are a lot of clothes available with links to the film, but most of them look a bit much. However, the logo t-shirt is the exception rule with enough ambiguity to look like a nice print top, but also easily recognizable as a tie in to Avatar 2.
That completes our rundown of the coolest Avatar: The Way of Water merchandise available. With another three films on the after 2 this is clearly going to be a series that’s here to stay, and most of the mech will link in to the rest of the franchise for the next few years.
