If you’ve ever randomly wandered into any of the legendary Sam Smith pubs then you’ve probably fallen in love with them already. If you want to find your way back to one, or you want to check out what the fuss is all about follow the map below.
The combination of ace beer and ale with prices starting at just over £2 a pint makes the place a beacon of shining light in the ugly faces of other normal pubs that charge yuppy banker bar prices just because they happen to be within a ten mile radius of the London effing Eye.
It’s not just good drinks at proper prices that makes them so great though. On top of that, there’s rarely much of a queue to contend with to get to the bar, and when you get there you’ll be greeted by a normal person that’s just going to get you drinks with a smile. Not a big, crazy, Disney Shop worker smile that could be interpreted as “I want to eat your family with a nice Chianti”, but a simple smile and no messing about. There’s none of the nonsie pretentious bar tenders on tap either.
Sam Smiths pubs are always tidy, and they’ve got real pub character. There’s always somewhere to hover outside in the sunshine too, making it one of the capital’s best sunny evening watering holes. Sam Smith, I salute you sir. I salute your family, your friends, even your reliable sheep dog Shep, but most of all I love your pubs.
