Right Leg Depot The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Right Leg Depot The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

The Right Leg Depot is the toughest of the parts you need for the Construct Factory in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. It’s further away than all of the others and far more difficult to find, plus the puzzle is challenging, so our guide should help you tick it off.

However, before you even make it to the Right Leg Dept, or any of them, you need to activate the Factory, because they just won’t work unless you kick things off there first. You don’t get much information for this section of The Legend of Zelda TotK, so it’s easy to make your way to the depots without getting the process right.

With the factory up and running you can then return to the Right Leg Depot to get the part, but that will seal you in from the front door. You’ll then need get the part through the depot to the exit, so that you can get it back to the factory down below.

How to get to the Right Leg Depot

As mentioned above, the Right Leg Depot is the furthest away and toughest to get to of the four around the Construct Factory in TotK. The map image below doesn’t do it justice, but if you can make it to the Lightroot to the north of the factory and illuminate the area it will be a lot easier to see where you’re going.

The first thing to do it to head north east of the Factory and look out for the large skeleton leading up to the area above. You can see the spine in the map above and that will take you to the Uisihcoj Lightroot and head right from here to the built columns and intricate fences past the Aerocudas flying around.

You can pick the route up around 08:30 in the Construct Factory guide video below, but what you’re trying to do is to get to the edge that juts out over the edge aiming towards the location of the Right Leg Depot in the map image above.

You can then jump off to land on another broken bridge platform in front of you and the entrance to the depot is to the left from here. Jump and use the glider and as you get close the text prompt that you’ve made it will appear on the screen.

How to activate Right Leg Depot

Before you can start the challenge of right Leg Depot, you first need to do a step at the Construct Factory, if you haven’t already done it. Without this, you’ll get to the location and find that no amount of Zonai activation pad presses will get things moving and you’ll keep getting the red X of doom.

It’s even worse if you stumble on the factory without getting far enough into the main story quests, because there’s literally nothing that you can do. If you haven’t carried the mask down from Dragonhead Island then you’re snookered, so you’ll need to leave the area and carry on with main quests until you get to it.

The point that you’re aiming for in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is doing all of the four Regional Phenomena, completing Crisis at Hyrule Castle, investigating the Ring Ruins at Kakariko Village and the ruins at Dracozu Lake. Once you do all of this you’ll get the quest to Dragonhead Island and here you’ll get the mask.

When you bring it down to the Construct Factory, you’re supposed to carry it to the mold and place it into the head space, but TotK doesn’t exactly tell you this. Once you do it, you’ll then be able to access the panels for the depots, including the Right Leg Depot, so you’ll be free to go from this point on.

How to get the parts out of the Right Leg Depot

Pick up the part for the Right Leg Depot and carry it over to the fan elevators to the right of the Zonai activation panel. Drop and stand on next to it before hitting the fans to get a lift up to the level above where you can pick it up with Ultrahand and carry it off again.

Here’s where things get tricky. Attach the par to the top of the metal slide on top of the rails and you’ll see it fall to the ground under the weight. Pick it all back up with Ultrahand and hook it back on the rail, which will allow you to slide it up and around towards the ledge on the other side of the room.

However, it’ll get caught on the rail arm part way up, so you’ll need to rotate it flat to get it past this and back onto the rail on the other side. Check out the video below at 10:20 to see what this looks like if you’re not quite sure what you need to do.

You can then slide it further up the slope until you get the part in front of the ledge above. Once you get it close enough, you can let it fall and use Ascent to get up to the ledge to be able to finish things off from above.

Look down and use recall on the block, which will see it return to its position on the rail. While it’s traveling up, switch to Ultrahand and be ready to catch it when it gets to the top. It’s a similar trick to the one we used to complete the Left Leg Depot.

When you have it at the higher level, you can pull it over to you, detach the rail slide and take it up on the next fan elevator. Build a Wing device with fans on the back on top of the Right Leg Depot part and fly this down to the Construct Factory to tick off another and get closer to the next section of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
