It might not feel like it on some of the colder mornings, but summer is fast approaching and it won’t be long before you start to plan some lazy days in the park, so here’s a quick run down of the Open Air Theatre 2014 calendar. Taking up residence in the centre of Regent’s Park, the alfresco stage will once again be a big feature of what’s on in London this summer with the likes of To Kill A Mockingbird and Porgy and Bess featuring on the schedule.
There will be a total of five production this year with All My Sons, Hobson’s Choice and a special adaptation of Twelfth Knight for everyone aged over 6 years adding to the other two plays mentioned above. The full schedule and details are below, but no matter what your age (as long as you’re over 6 years old) there’s something to entertain you in the stunning setting of the theatre.
It’s not just plays that will be taking up residence at the Open Air Theatre in 2014 as music, comedy and film will also be a part of what’s on in the park. First of these is the Home Coming Festival on the 1st June with a night of music in aid of the Elton John AIDS Foundation, but there’ll be everything from a night of jocularity from the Comedy Store Players on the 6th June, to the 50th anniversary screening of Goldfinger on the 17th August.
