For anyone that has managed to make it through all six series of Breaking Bad, you might be in need of a quick, comic reminder of everything that happened, and the good news is that actor Miles Allen has done just that with his comedy parody show, One Man Breaking Bad, which will be heading to the UK in March 2015. With sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival already under his trouser-less belt on the back of a YouTube sensation that cranked up more than 1 million views, it’s one to look out for if you’re a fan of the TV show.
The One Man Breaking Bad UK tour is scheduled to open at The Lowry in Salford on Sunday the 1st March 2015, before rolling out the Winnebago tour bus for the rest of the 25 date, high-speed roller-coaster ride. It’ll take in everywhere from Cardiff, Liverpool and Manchester to Coventry, Milton Keynes and Harrogate before closing out on the 30th March at the Wycombe Swan in High Wycombe. However, you can check out all of the dates on the tour below for more information.
Tickets for each of the shows start at around £18.50 with a few exceptions, which you can see details for below. Show times range from 7.30pm to 8pm with an hour and a half run time that includes a twenty minute break and little time thrown into the conical cooking flask for good measure.
The performances are made up of one man’s take on the entire storyline of Breaking Bad. Sixty episodes have been crammed into the space of an hour by the LA-based actor, as he plays every character from the six series all by himself, impersonating the likes of Walter, Jesse, Saul, Skyler, Hank and Marie to deliver a boiled down parody of the most important scenes from the crime drama.
While Breaking Bad is a dark comedy drama itself, One Man Breaking Bad has set out to push much harder on the comedy addict side of the viewing spectrum. His light-speed run down of all of the big moments from the series is injected with a large amount of added comedy appeal as he finds a lot to lampoon in a show that’s all about the aftermath of a school teacher’s decision to sell crystal meth when he discovers he’s dying of cancer in a bid to leave his family in financial security.
