Old school 2D platform excellence is back at Nintendo!
The release of New Super Mario Bros Wii on 15th November 2009 saw Mario return to his old 2D origins, but with all new Nintendo Wii features including multi-player co-op mode. Be the first to write a review and send it in to Tuppence Magazine.
With Multiple players able to drop in and out of the game at any time, New Super Mario Bros Wii has a lot of family friendly possibility. When dad drops in to give you a hand and turns out to be rubbish you can easily kick him off and carry on solo.
On top of this, there’s the safety bubble that means that if your younger sister drops in, but can’t get past a tough bit, she can get into the bubble and let you get take it on for the team. There’s also a super guide mode that allows you to let the computer show you how to get past the more frustratingly difficult sections. While this isn’t an option for the die hard gamers, it does mean that the younger sister will have more of a chance fending for herself when you drop out to go to work (if you’re a 31 year old accountant, these things are bound to happen).
Anyway, from the trailer New Super Mario Bros Wii looks like a lot of fun and will probably keep your Mario fix needs met until the 2010 release of Super Mario Galaxy 2.
