If you’re trying to work out how to find Spider Bots in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the PS5, we’ve got you covered with all the details and the perfect plan for you to turn them around fast. You’re bound to have come across the odd one or two, but in terms of triangulating the exact position of each and every one of them, it can feel a bit like a slog.
However, it’s definitely something you want to pursue, because it results in a very cool tease for more things to come from the Marvel’s Spider-Man series. We’re not going to go into the details for that though, so don’t worry about any spoilers, but the point is that it’s well worth the hunt to find the Spider Bots.

How to find Spider Bots
Firstly, you can see exactly how many Spider Bots there are in each of the boroughs of the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 map by simply going into the map screen and moving the cursor over the areas, which will bring up everything that you’ve done so far. However, unlike the other activities in each of the areas, the Spider Bots don’t pinpoint the location for each and every one of them, so you’re going to need to find them yourself.

Having done this relatively recently and found that the strategy that we used was pretty quick, hopefully it’ll work well for you too. The starting point should be one of the corners for the areas and then what you want to do is work your way around the outside of the map using the glider to travel the full perimeter for that area.

The simple explanation is that you pull back on the left control stick after doing a slingshot launch and this will see you climb pretty high, giving you a good place to start from.
If you’ve got fast travel already for the area you can actually fast travel to the corner and you should either go straight into glider mode at a high point or be swinging relatively high, so you can go into glider mode pretty easily without doing a slingshot this way. After you’ve pulled back on the left stick and gotten as high as you can, what you need to do is press X to do a zip move to get some speed.
This will then resets the glide mechanics and when you pull back on the left stick again, you’ll start to climb even higher, which will allow you to repeat that process for as long as you want. This means that you can easily cover the outer perimeter for an area quite quickly and then you just need to scan the floor and sky for the trademark pings of the Spider Bots.
Each time they ping, they send out an energy bubble which you can see pretty easily. And by going around the outer edge, you actually cover a large amount of the ground. When you see one, it’s simply a case of flying towards it and then trying to find the center point for the Spider Bot location which you can then pick up by pressing triangle.

Pinpointing it exactly can sometimes be a little bit tricky and you might need to use the R3 scan function to be able to track it down, but this is still the easy part. The real challenge is being able to spot all of the pings in the first place. As mentioned above, these can sometimes take place high in the air or at the top of buildings so you need to check up as well as down as you’re flying around.
Once you’ve covered the outer perimeter you can then crisscross the middle by going from the bottom left corner to the top right corner using the glider and then fast traveling to the left top corner and gliding down to the bottom right corner. This should cover you for most of the areas in New York and the wider map in Spider-Man 2 PS5.
AdvertisementThere are a few areas that are a bit bigger, so you might need to do a bit more of a thorough search for each of the areas to be able to find the Spider Bots, but this method should give you everything that you need. You can then keep checking back on the map screen as you go to make sure that you’re on course and to see how many Spider Bots you’ve still got left in that area.
Once you find them all throughout the map, you’ll have one last location to go to and this is where you find out all about who or what is behind the Spider Bots. It’s a pretty cool sequence, and like we mentioned earlier, you definitely want to finish this off and get all other Spider Bots in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 just to be able to see it.
