The London Olympics in 2012 are fast approaching and despite the disappointment for anyone that missed out on tickets, it’s all getting a bit exciting. Especially with the release of Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games and there is little room for disappointment, unless you’re really bad at the javelin and tickets are available to all. Boom!
If the previous Mario and Sonic at the Olympics Games are anything to go by, the London 2012 version is bound to be class. The game is perfectly suited to the Wii and with so many different events to play, it never gets dull.
Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games was released on the 25th November 2011. The good news is that there will be even more events than before, with the addition of football, tennis and equestrian events (that’s horse stuff to the rest of us).
There will also be the regular dream event section that takes Mario and Sonic away from the East of London, to their own lands. These add another dimension to the game, with a surreal twist on the original and a nostalgic look back at some of the older Mario and Sonic landscapes.
Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games has been released on the Nintendo Wii, as well as getting a first showing on the Nintendo 3DS. It’ll be interesting to see how the game adapts to the handheld controls and 3D visuals on the 3DS, but the Wii version is bound to be an instant classic.
