With the arrival of Luigi’s Mansion 3 on the 31st October 2019 we’ll get to take on the final boss for the 3rd entry in the breakaway series as Mario’s taller and thinner brother takes on the spooky powers of a haunted hotel. It looks like it’s going to be the biggest game of the three with the capabilities of the Nintendo Switch behind it, so there are bound to be some good boss fights along the way leading up to the the final showdown.
AdvertisementThe first game in the series kicked things off in the glory days of the GameCube and then it was followed more recently with its handheld debut in Luigi’s Mansion 2 on the Nintendo 3DS. He may not be as prolific in the limelight as his diminutive bro, but he’s definitely consistent and with no other big 3D platformer out this Christmas he’s going to be one of the main events alongside Pokémon Sword And Shield.
Who is the final boss in Luigi’s Mansion 3
If you’ve played either of the previous games then you’ll know that King Boo is more than likely behind all of the spooky goings on at the hotel in Luigi’s Mansion 3. He’s been the final boss in the last two entries in the series and he’s bound to be the mastermind pulling the string in the 3rd outing.
The story setup sees Luigi travelling to a huge hotel in the country with Mario, Princess Peach and a group of Toads, but the vacation gets cut short when everyone else goes missing leaving Luigi with the job of saving them. It doesn’t take long for the ghosts to show their faces and the first boss you take on is a spectral knight that charges at Luigi atop a ghost horse.
You can beat it by avoiding the charge and then hitting it with the flashlight blast before breaking out the Pologust to start chipping down it’s health. The new addition to Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the slam move you get with Professor E. Gadd’s updated Poltogust, so when you’ve got the Knight by the tail you can slam it to the ground to smash even more health off it.

Luigi’s Mansion 3 came out on the 31st October 2019, so the only gameplay footage for the final boss fight prior to launch was the run through of the King Boo fight at the end of LM2 on the 3DS from ZachScottGames.
It’s made up of two main sections with the standard fight against King Boo, which then leads into a chase sequence where you need to avoid draws that fly out at you as the big bad Boo rolls towards you like an Indiana Jones ball of doom. Obviously the final boss in LM3 isn’t the same, but the one thing that is similar is the multiple parts. Nintendo has thrown in the same element of puzzle solving too where you need to work out hot to beat it in each of the phases and you can check that out in the how to video below:
