The majority of the Kingdom Hearts 3 Remind DLC is taken up with a series of boss fights with significant shades of the end section of the main game, but when you get to Scala Ad Caelum, The Stairway In The Couds, you’ll need to shearch for Kairi’s heart locations. For the most part this will take place in a new section of Scala called Breeze Quarter, but finding all of the heart fragments is anything but a breeze.
To begin with you’ll get the first of the five heart pieces as soon you arrive at Scala. You walk on into the white-walled city and get into a tussle with a group of enemies. They’re pretty easy to beat, but if you’re struggling you can see them getting chopped down to size at the start of the walkthrough video below.
AdvertisementOnce you’ve taken them out of the equation, you’ll be rewarded with a fragment of the heart flower, which you should be able to see in the top right hand corner of the screen. It’ll also open the door to the new section of Scala Ad Caelum, the Breezy Quarter, which is where you’ll find the rest of them.
The remaining 4 Breezy Quarty heart pieces locations
1. To start the hunt for the Breezy Quarter heart pieces, you need to head on up to the clock-like mechanism at the top of the area. From the gate, head to the wall on the far right and trace that along until you find the mechanism. To activate it you just need to hit them in the right order to line them up with the coloured lights. Start with the red one in the middle using the attack button to activate it when it’s over the light. Repeat the same process with the blue one on the right and lastly the green one on the left and the heart fragment will be yours.
Advertisement2. With the mechanism directly to your left, head straight on and down the alley in front of you. This will wind around and lead to a print that a piece of Kairi’s heart is to the right. Follow it and you’ll be led to an underground section of Breezy Quarter. Take your first left – do what you want with the enemies in that section – and then take a right. Attack the door mechanism to open it and then after you investigate the fragment head back towards the door and look up to see a wall to climb. At the top you’ll be able to jump down and press attack to smash the cage and get number 3.
3. Trace your steps back up to the ledges with the stairs. At the top of the ledges, next to the start of the slope activate the orb and it’ll give you a rail to ride. This will take you to a square with a fountain in the middle. Attack all four of the spinners around the fountain to activate them all and it’ll give you heart number 4. You need to be fast and you need each of them to be fully activated, which requires multiple hits until you see a little flash of light.
Advertisement4. This will trigger a cutscene showing Kairi heading to the square on the waterside. Follow her down there and you’ll have a boss fight to take on with a Giant Heartless standing in your way. Attack it’s hands and head and dodge the occasional projectile and you should be able to beat it easily enough to pick up the last of Kairi’s 5 heart pieces in The Stairway In The Sky.
