If you miss it on the big screen or you just want to add it to your hard-hitting collection, here’s the latest on the John Wick Chapter 4 UK DVD, Blu-ray and digital release date. You can also find out more about the various formats that will be available, along with what we know about the special features and extras.
The fourth film sees John picking himself up, dusting off the bullet wound he got from Winston and taking the fight back to the High Table. It ultimately sees him coming face to face with a number of new enemies including Marquis De Gramont (Bill Skarsgard) and High Table assassin Caine (Donnie Yen).
AdvertisementSadly, Lance Reddick, who plays Continental Hotel concierge, Charon, passed away recently, so this will be one of his last performances. He’s a huge part of what makes John Wick films so impressive and he’ll be sadly missed – you can see more on his career over on his Wikipedia page.
The story picks up right after the events of John Wick Chapter 3 and he’ll have the diminished might of the Bowery King (Lawrence Fishburne) on his side. It’s another stunning film visually, with some incredible artwork in the scene construction, so if you want to get the most detail then Blu-ray, 4K or Ultra High Definition digital formats are the best to choose from.
The first three movies have been iconic in the action genre, so the John Wick Chapter 4 DVD, Blu-ray or digital release date will be on a lot of radars. The film is pretty fresh on the big screen, so it’ll still be a while before it comes out in the UK and North America, but the details below should give you a target to aim for and some thoughts on the special features and extras.

UK Blu-ray, digital and DVD release date latest
AdvertisementFollowing the cinema release date on March 24th, 2023, the John Wick Chapter 4 UK DVD, Blu-ray and digital should be around July to August 2023. Depending on how the production decides to do things, it could be available on early access options like Amazon Prime Video’s Home Premier as early as May.
There’s a lot to take into account though before then, not least of all the success of the film at the box office. It’s done pretty well so far, so it might have a longer run and it’ll be later on, but if the sheer competition means it tails off it might opt to go to home media sooner rather than later.

There were plenty of big films out in Spring with Dungeons & Dragons Honor Among Thieves and then the Mario Movie being its biggest competition. After that it quietens down a little with Joaquin Phoenix’s Beau Is Afraid later in April, so it could go either way for the DVD, Blu-ray and digital release. However, the fact that it has picked up positive reviews adds weight to it being in cinemas for a while.
The May half term could coincide with the early access digital formats, but it will probably be the summer holidays before we get everything else. Distribution companies are taking more of a tailored approach to putting films out, so we’ll keep you posted for the 4th film in the series.
North America release date latest
AdvertisementThings are usually a little earlier over in the States, so we’re expecting the John Wick Chapter 4 DVD, Blu-ray, digital and 4K release date to be June in North America. It’s probably too early for it to make if for the summer mid-term holidays at the end of May, but it’s a distant outside chance.
Early access should be before the UK too, so the end of April is an early estimate, but it depends on how things are going at the box office. It’s more likely to be later than this as big movies tent to try to make the most out of cinema before taking things to home media, which puts it in May as the most likely date range, but maybe a week or so before the UK.

John Wick Chapter 4 Blu-ray, 4K and Digital extras and special features
Specific details for the Blu-ray, 4K and digital special features and extras will be confirmed later in the year, as we get closer to the home entertainment release, but there’s already a lot to go on. The last film, for example, had a chunky list of bonus content ranging from features on the legacy of the high table to the John’s excommunication, sharp shooting and riding skills, dog combat, and the Moroccan Continental Hotel.
AdvertisementHowever, it skipped on things like a gag reel and bloopers, so things will probably be fairly serious for Chapter 4. We know that the film features a lot of new locations, so this will probably get a focus and then there’s the sheer weight of the series to cover, along with a salute to the work of Lance Reddick.
As you might expect, it will only be Blu-ray, 4K and probably the most expensive digital format that contains the special features. The DVD is doubtful, as is the rental, and you should definitely double check the digital version for what’s included before you buy.
We’ll update you with more details on the DVD, Blu-ray and digital release date as they’re confirmed. You can also check out our movie news section to keep tabs on the latest upcoming films, or visit the Lionsgate website at www.lionsgate.com.
