Before there was YouTube and a bajillion stunt pranksters, there was Johnny Knoxville and the rest of the team and they’ll be getting back together again for Jackass Forever with a UK release date (details below) planned for early 2022. Here’s everything that we know about the film so far, including the latest on the age rating, as well as our parents guide for the 6th entry in the franchise’s big screen history.
As you might expect, there’s no actual plot as such, other than the team are getting back together again to go bigger and badder than they’ve ever gone before. This is no mean feat considering everything they did back in the day, but it looks like they might just pull it off with everything from cannon blasts to bear encounters to soak up the Jackass brigade wet pants.
AdvertisementIt all seems to be tied into the ravages of COVID-19; getting back together to spend time with friends and doing the things that you used to do before the world turned upside down on us all. It just so happens that the things Johnny Knoxville, Wee Man and Steve-O used to do was always linked to self destruction in one way or another with the kind of wild abandon you normally see in your average lemming.
Cast
As ever, Johnny Knoxville will lead the troop with Steve-O, Wee Man, Chris Pontius, Dave England, Danger Ehren and Preston Lacy back for more pain. If you’re wondering who the dude is trapped with the bear in the trailer, that’s special guest pro skateboarder Aaron Homoki. Sadly, Ryan Dunn died in a car crash in 2011 and Bam Margera won’t be involved in the film following a troubled few years for the skateboard legend.

Jackass Forever UK release date
The Jackass Forever UK release date has been put back a number of times by the global pandemic. It had previously been confirmed to come out on Friday the 22nd October 2021 following it’s initial schedule of the 5th March 2021. However, it was recently announced that this will now be put back to the 4th February 2022. It’ll be out in the US on the same date as in the UK, so there shouldn’t be any spoilers to avoid in terms of what madcap action is crammed into the film.
This means that it will no longer be coming out on the same weekend as the latest Wes Anderson flick, The French Dispatch and it will avoid any residual competition from Bond 25 No Time To Die. As a result, it will probably have a pretty clear release window, which might just be enough to secure it the coveted number 1 spot at the box office over here in the UK.
AdvertisementWith the early spring release, it should come out on DVD, Blu-ray and digital a little ahead of summer 2022. This could work out well for the home entertainment launch, but either way it’ll have old school fans on it’s side.

Age rating and parents guide
With the film due to come out on the big screen pretty soon, the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has announced it’s official Jackass Forever UK age rating to be 18. You can also take a fair bit from the previous films. The very first film was given a classification of 15 and the most recent film, Jackass Presents Bad Grandpa, did the same. However, Number 2, 3D and 3.5 all got age ratings of 18, so it could well have gone either way, depending on the certificate reaction to all of the stunts. Looking ahead, we’d gone with the latter due to the dangerous nature of the stunts in the trailer and the fact that Bad Grandpa was a very different beast altogether and it turns out we were bang on the bull riding money.
If you’re looking for a parents guide, you should expect some pretty rude and crude stunts as well as a whole lot of dangerous antics. As mentioned above, Johnny gets fired out of a cannon, bucked badly by a bull and someone gets trapped in a room with a whoop off bear and these are just the stunts that made it in the trailer. There’s normally a lot of nudity in the mix too, but it’s usually Steve-O’s meat and two veg, so nothing racy as such (unless you’re really into that sort of thing).

Runtime
As with the age rating, the runtime for Jackass Forever hasn’t been confirmed as of yet, but again you can look at the previous entries in the series to get a feel for what to expect. Bad Grandpa was just 1 hour and a half, and it’s a similar story for all of the other films, so we’re expecting it to be on the shorter side of the spectrum between 90 and 100 minutes.
