Time’s got a habit of picking up history and Harold Pinter’s Old Times is a story that exudes the history that old relationships can accumulate. Coming to the Harold Pinter Theatre in January 2013, it’s got an all star cast and a run that’ll take it through until April. Tickets are available to order from www.ticketmaster.com.
The play centres around Kate, Deeley and Anna, who find themselves together in a farmhouse talking over their time in London when they were young. However, their intertwined past catches up with them as they rake over their shared deductively dark history and muddled memory.
Deeley will be played by Rufus Sewell (Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter), with the roles of Kate and Anna brilliantly alternating between Kristen Scott Thomas and Lia Williams. Directing the play will be Ian Rickson who has worked previously with Scott Thomas on Pinter’s Betrayal and Anton Chekov’s The Seagull.
Old Times opens on the 31st January 2012, with preview shows from the 12th January 2012. It will be running at the Harold Pinter Theatre up until the final night on the 6th April 2013. Monday to Saturday evening shows are set to start at 7:30pm with Matinees opening their curtains at 3pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
