Frozen 2 DVD, Blu-ray, 3D and 4K special features and UK front covers

Frozen 2 DVD, Blu-ray, 3D and 4K special features

The Frozen 2 Blu-ray, 3D and 4K special features are just in and it looks like it’s going to be a bumper bundle of bonus content and extras for the UK release. You can also check out the front cover artwork for the DVD along with the other physical formats for the home entertainment release, which is scheduled to come out on Monday the 30th March 2020, arriving just in time for Easter family viewing this year.

Firstly, though, the bad news is that there aren’t any special features on the DVD, so if you want to get in on the action then you’ll need to go for one of the other formats. It’ll be a similar case for the digital versions with the bonus content and extras only included on the HD and 4K releases, so you won’t get anything with the standard definition or rental options.

You can find out more about the film release at https://www.tuppencemagazine.co.uk/frozen-2-dvd-blu-ray-digital-rental-4k-ultra-hd-release-date-uk/, or check out the official film page at https://disney.co.uk/movies/frozen-2.

Blu-ray, 3D and 4K special features

The Blu-ray, 3D and 4K Ultra HD versions all come with the following special features:

  • Sing-Along version of the movie where you’ll get to see and sing along with the lyrics from the songs in the film
  • Song Selection – Choose from the songs in the film to blast out the tunes any time you need them
  • Outtakes – the funny thing about outtakes in animated films is that they’re as much a part of the movie creation process as the rest of the film, so hopefully there will be a few funny ones in this batch. Olaf has got outtakes written into his snowflake soul!
  • Did You Know???
  • The Spirits of Frozen 2 – Discover the mystical side of Elsa’s story
  • Scoring A Sequel – Find out more about the origin of the music for Frozen 2
  • Deleted Scenes (with introductions by Directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck)
  • Deleted Songs (with introductions by Lee and Buck) – somehow there were a number of songs that didn’t quite make the cut
  • Gale Tests (with individual introductions by directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck)
  • “Into The Unknown” in 29 Languages (MLC reel)
  • “Lost in the Woods (Weezer Version)” Performed by Weezer
  • “Into the Unknown (Panic! At The Disco Version)” Performed by Panic! At The Disco Version

It’s a pretty hefty bundle of bonus content and extras, so it looks like there are more than enough features to add to the argument to plump for either the Blu-ray, 3D or 4K discs. For us, if you’ve got a good 3D system for your home entertainment then it will be the coolest way to enjoy everything that Frozen 2 and it’s special features have got to offer.

However, if you don’t have a 3D TV and player, then the Blu-ray is probably the best value for money with all of the extras, high definition visuals and a price tag that’s around a fiver less than the 4K version.

Each of the formats have the same artwork, featuring the main characters from Frozen 2 looking very brave and heroic in the face of inescapable death, or at least a little danger.
