Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 payphone locations map

Now that you know where to find the upgrade benches, you’re going to need to know the payphone locations to keep you in the mix in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7. With this, you’ll be able to crank through the quests to get the bars you’re going to need for the expensive upgrades.

The new map and Invasion story has thrown in a lot of structural changes and one of the biggest is the way that quests for bars work. Previously, you would be able to run into NPCs to pick these up and while that’s still the case in Season 7, there are a lot less of them than has previously been the case.

In fact, there are just 17 NPC characters to play with now, which is down over fifty percent on Season 6, so you’ll need the payphones to get more bars quests. In total, there are fifteen locations to choose from and when you combine that with the 17 characters, that’s pretty close to the same number of options as before.

The mechanism works a lot like talking to NPCs, but you’re picking up the ringing payphone receiver and choosing your quests from the menu. The good news is that with the location map below, you can’t really miss them because they’re always attached to one of the bus stops, so aim for these and you should be golden.

How important are payphone locations?

In general, having a good handle on payphone locations will definitely help you out in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7, especially where there are specific quests to use bars or to upgrade at benches. They’re also good for bar grinding in general, but they’re not necessarily key to getting good weapons.

An easier tactic is to rock up at one of the IO locations to get weapons. You just need to take out the guards, which is easily done, especially if you give yourself a little build platform to aim down at them from. They then drop strong weapons and there’s usually a cache to find inside too, so it can be a quicker way than grinding out bar quests at payphone locations to use at upgrade benches.
