What with Adrian Chiles crossing the great BBC ITV divide back in April because of the Chris Evans Friday One Show business, the beeb has been scrambling to fill his shoes on a number of fronts. However, the one that’s got me most interested is his replacement for The Apprentice: You’re Fired, Dara O’Briain.
I can’t stand The Apprentice. It’s filled with nonses that are convinced that the road to success requires more back stabbing than 300, grubbing around in the dirt begging for sales like estate agents on heat and kissing more ass than the Andrex Puppy.
Everyone involved in The Apprentice deserves mocking on a weekly basis in the very least and who better to do that than Dara O’Briain. Hopefully, he’ll cut them all down to their real minuscule size, jolting them out of their own puffed up sense of self worth, the twots.
With a stand-up tour on the go at the moment (see Dara O’Briain tour dates for more info) he should be at his sharpest by the time the show returns to BBC 2 later this year. I reckon Sugar’s the one that needs working over the most.
