Coming to the Welsh capital in July 2012, the Cardiff Comedy festival spans the majority of the month and plans to feature comedy spread across fifteen venues throughout the city. The festival will be capped off by the grande finale at St David’s Hall, headlined by Omid Djalili.
Running from the 4th to the 29th of July, the Cardiff Comedy Festival 2012 will include 30 shows with a total capacity of around 3,000. There’ll be a real range of venues, giving comedy lovers the chance to see big shows, as well as smaller intimate gigs of ferocious wit (the kind of hurt that stings like a ball to the peaches on a cold day in November).
Shows throughout the festival include a preview set by Mark Little, as well as shows from the likes of Lucy Porter, Nick Helm, Richard Herring & Patrick Monahon.
The annual comedy workshop will also be back this year to give anyone with the toochybooshies the chance to learn how to do a bit of stand-up comedy. Put together in association with Cardiff Central Library, there are four full day sessions, which culminates in a live gig to show off new talent.
