The Avengers Endgame UK release date was one of the most anticipated screenings in the 2019 cinema calendar. It was the culmination of 7 years following the arrival of the first Avengers film back in 2012, so it was always going to be massively popular for rental and to buy on DVD, Blu-ray, iTunes, Xbox ONE, PS4, Amazon and digital download (details below, along with special features and age rating).

The good news is that it didn’t disappoint and reviews have been positive across the board.
Josh Brolin left things on a cliff edge as the life-extinguishing, unstoppable force that is Thanos, and with a hefty number of superheroes on the dead side of the equation, it’s got everyone wondering what’s going to happen next. While most of you will know now how it pans out following its arrival on the big screen and recent digital release, there are bound to be a few of you waiting on the DVD, Blu-ray, 3D or 4K Ultra HD to see how it all ends.
The obvious answer might seem like Dr Strange has already set some kind of time loop into action using the Time Stone or that the Soul Stone will be used to manipulate life and death once again. However, that’s probably too obvious for it to go on to be the truth, so it’s going to be interesting to see how writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely bring everything together to close the story on a high.
UK DVD, Blu-ray, iTunes, Xbox ONE, PS4, Amazon and digital release date
The final details have been officially announced and the DVD and Blu-ray release date for Avengers Endgame has been confirmed for the 2nd September 2019. If you want to add it to your collection, it’ll also be available on 3D Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD or digital rental.
The film came out a couple of weeks earlier for digital download to buy on iTunes, Amazon Video, Xbox ONE and PS4 on the 19th August 2019. However, the digital rental release date will coincide with the DVD, Blu-ray, 3D and 4K Ultra HD versions in the UK on the 2nd September planned.
AdvertisementEndgame has a runtime of a little over 3 hours, so you’ll need a hefty chunk of storage space for the digital version of the film. It’s 7.34Gb at 1080p HD, or 3.08Gb in standard definition, so you might want to check your drive if you’re planning to buy the upcoming film for digital download. The file size may not be massive compared to a blockbuster PS4 or Xbox ONE game, but it could still be a hard drive-maxing download, so you might want to get rid of any unwanted demos or games you don’t play any more.
UK cinema release date
Avengers Endgame had a UK release date in cinemas nationwide on the 25th April 2019 with Cineworld, Vue and the Odeon all screening the film heavily for the opening few weeks. It was out in the UK a day earlier than in the US, so British Marvel fans will have been able to see how it all goes down a little earlier than any American cousins, friends or forum chat buddies you have.

Avengers Endgame age rating
As with its the cinema run, the DVD, Blu-ray and digital release for Avengers Endgame has been given an age rating of 12A by the British Board of Film Classification in the UK. The rating information on warns of moderate violence, so there clearly isn’t much in the way of risqué romance or bad language.
