Ushering in phase five of the MCU and debuting Kang the Conqueror as the next major villain is more than enough to make the Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania rent online release date attention grabbing. The film came out on the big screen in February and the trailers did a great job of building the hype, so here’s everything we know so far about the home rental options.
As you might expect, the exact date to be able to rent Ant-Man 3 online is still to be confirmed, but we have a lot to go on in terms of when this might be. Things get a little complicated with the difference between the slightly eye watering early access option and the standard rental, which will be a lot cheaper. We’ll explain it all in as much detail as possible to help you figure out when you’ll get to watch the film with the the latest information on the release date for both.

This time Scott’s daughter manages to send them all to the Quantum Realm, but what they find is a vast city controlled by Kang and the war drums start to beat for Avengers The Kang Dynasty.
The full Kang reveal has already taken place in the trailers and he’s just as powerful as in the comics. He starts out blackmailing Scott into helping him escape the place he’s been trapped in for years, but with Janet’s past experience with him they clearly know that they need to stop him.

Home premier rental
AdvertisementYou’ll be able to see the film first from sofa nirvana with the home premier early access, but it looks like the rental part of this might be a little later. It usually comes out around 45-90 days after the initial cinematic release date (17th February 2023). For Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania, the best example is Black Panther Wakanda Forever, which came out on 11th November 2022 in cinemas and went on to be available to rent online on the 1st February 2023.

This is a long run of 82 days before digital options, which could be about right, but Ant-Man 3 didn’t do as well at the box office and it’s got the Jonathan Majors arrest news working against it. If you track that forward for Quantumania then you’re looking at early access rental coming out in mid May in the UK and North America.
The latest announcement is that we’ll only get the purchase option for early access to begin with. The digital launch for this will take place on April 18th, 2023 in North America, which backs up the May prediction. There’s no official equivalent date for the UK as of yet, though, but it should follow relatively shortly afterwards.
This should include options on Amazon Prime, iTunes and the Play Store, which all have early access to rent films, which will probably be the case for Ant-Man 3 online. The good news for big fans of the MCU is that you’ll be able to buy the digital version of the film at a price that’s usually less than DVD and Blu-ray from April 18th in the US.
Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania rent online release date
AdvertisementAnt-Man and the Wasp Quantumania was created to be a cinematic spectacular, but for anyone that just wants to catch the standard digital rental then the wait is going to be even longer. Following the gap to early access we might be looking at late June or beyond for the cheaper price to rent online.
After it comes out on Disney+ and early access digital, the Blu-ray and DVD release of Ant-Man 3 will take place on May 16th, 2023 in North America, so this could be towards the end of June 2023 in the UK. The North American market usually gets physical formats earlier than in Britain, so it’s a good indicator for how things might go over here.
After these, you get the standard price rent online service, which is often a week or so after the DVD, Blu-ray and standard price digital versions release to buy. That makes rental in the States around mid to late June likely and in the UK early July at our estimates for iTunes, Amazon Prime Video and the Google Play store.

This could well be a best case scenario, though, because the Marvel film will also need a little time to convert subscribers for Disney+. If it’s doing the job then Disney and Marvel might keep back the standard rental options to make the most out of this before making it available elsewhere.

Where can I watch the film online?
Once the cinematic debut takes place, Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania will undoubtedly go on to be available to stream online. As it’s a Marvel film and Marvel is a part of The Walt Disney Company, it will be Disney+ that has the rights to the streaming service.
The date for this will probably coincide with the early access release, so based on the example above we’re probably looking at mid May. Ordinarily, this would have an impact on the success of the DVD, Blu-ray and digital purchase in both the UK and North America, but in this case it might not be as noticeable. Ant-Man vs Kang looks like it’s going to be huge on both Disney+ and other home entertainment formats.
Is it possible to watch Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania on Hulu?
If you’re wondering whether or not you’ll be able to get the film on the streaming service Hulu, the answer is sort of. If you’ve got Hulu and the Disney Bundle then you’ll get access to Disney+ through the streaming service, which will in turn give you Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania online in addition to the digital purchase and rent online release on iTunes, Amazon Prime Video and the Google Play store.
