Videos, not holidays. It’s kind of a weird move on the part of Steve Coogan, but he has just been sponsored by Fosters to film a series of short shows featuring Alan Partridge called Mid Morning Matters.
With talk of an Alan Partridge movie in the pipeline, maybe the series is a tester or warm-up gig to help Coogan get back in character for the big cinematic comeback. Either way, it means we get more Partridge, so if it’s half as funny as the “Stop getting Bond wrong” clip, it’ll be brilliant.
The first episode of Mid Morning Matters was launched on the 5th November at https://www.fostersfunny.co.uk, and you can watch all of the Fosters shorts episodes of Mid Morning Matters there.
For anybody that wants to make a comparison of Alan Partridge’s introduction to The Spy Who Loved Me and the original, check out the video on You Tube (although MGM have done all they can to strip it, the protective little buggers).
Steve Coogan will also be starring alongside Rob Brydon in The Trip, BBC2 later this year.
