It turns out that Jurassic World doesn’t have a monopoly on dinosaur thrills, so here’s the latest on the 65 rent online release date. As with the Michael Crichton-inspired films, it’s going to be at its most impressive on the big screen, but if you want to catch it at home rental is going to be one of the first options with early access.
The specifics for the 65 movie’s rent online launch have a few things to take into account the the more expensive early access coming earlier than the later and less pricey regular rental. It’s possible that this could well be the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs and the impact knocked it off course, but we’ll have to wait for the cinema release to find out for sure.
It’s directed by Scott Beck and Bryan Woods, who co-wrote A Quiet Place, so you know there are going to be some pretty tense moments. The trailer showcases a few of these with some very hungry dinosaurs on the loose at the end of the Cretaceous period.

For the 65 move that, which is due to out on the March 10th, 2023, we’re looking at the end of April to early May at the earliest before you get to rent it online.

With movies like Top Gun Maverick setting the trend for well-reviewed films to get a larger break between initial release and home entertainment the later estimate is probably a safer bet. That means that it could well be towards the end of May if it gets a longer run in cinemas with a slightly earlier launch in North America compared to the UK.
You should be able to rent and buy the film with early access to cinema movies on Amazon Prime, iTunes and the Google Play Store, so these will be retailers for 65 online. Buying the film during early access will be the more expensive with a price point that is higher than the DVD and Blu-ray at a later date.

With the desperate race against ferocious dinosaurs, the 65 movie has got cinema impact written all over it, and if you’re waiting on the standard digital rental then you might want to aim for July 2023. This will be the least expensive option to see the film unless your local cinema is doing some crazy deals to come in under the rent online price.

You normally get standard price rent online launches a week or so later than the DVD, Blu-ray and standard price digital purchase versions release date. That give us the July target for iTunes, Amazon Prime Video and the Google Play store.
As with the early access, the exact release date will depend on how long it performs well at the box office. This could mean that the timeline will be on the longer side of the spectrum to rent the film to give it more time to make the best use of the cinema run.
The other thing to take into account is the proximity of the release to the beginning of the summer holidays. This could be another indicator that they’ll go later to coincide with the hols when people have a little more time to watch movies.

Where can I watch the film online?
While 65 will eventually go on to stream on one of the big subscriptions services eventually, there’s nothing official at the moment in terms of when and which one. It’s being released by Sony Pictures and its films can stream on both Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, so it could go either way.
However, this will be years away, so won’t have much of an impact on the rental date for the UK and North America, or the DVD, Blu-ray and digital download. If you’re a Hulu subscriber in North America you might be wondering whether or not there’s any chance of it streaming on Hulu. It’s probably unlikely because Hulu is owned by The Walt Disney Company and NBCUniversal, so a Sony Pictures release has more likely to stream on Netflix or Amazon Prime. That’s more than likely going to be the case with the 65 movie in addition to the digital purchase and rent online release on iTunes, Amazon Prime Video and Google Play.
