The Secret Garden Party are going monthly with the launch of a new club night called Raiders of the Last Tube at The Lexington in Kings Cross, London. Adding to their annual garden party mysteries and their hush hush Christmas emporium, the new night brings the the Secret world to life every second Thursday of the month.

The new night plans to feature gigs from new bands, as well as a host of DJ sessions to dance along to. Essentially it’s been set up as a straight after work gig and disco, meaning you can get out after a shift at the sweat shop, get in for the door’s opening at 6:30pm, grab something to eat, have a few drinks, watch a gig, dance around like a mental and still be able to make it to the last tube with the doors closing at 11.30pm… ipso facto… Raiders of the Last Tube.

The bands for the monthly slots will be chosen by the The Secret Garden Party’s ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ stage and the Head Gardener (AKA the Fatonni of the enigmatic, green fingered world), so expectations should be high. The opening night on Thursday 17th January 2013 will feature 21 year old singer/songwriter, Annie Eve at 7.30pm, bringing her Goldsmith Art College honed combination of angst and folk. She’ll be followed up by Naz compardre, Arlissa, at 8:15pm who has been compared to Florence sans machine and with her own kind of style.

The gigs will then move over for a disco until the 11.30pm close. Entry is £5 on the door and if you’re not too sure where the Lexington is, the address is 96-98 Pentonville Road, London, N1 9JB and there’s a location map below.

Future dates for Raiders of the Last Tube at the Lexington:

Thursday 14th Feb
Thursday 14th March
Thursday 11th April
Thursday 9th May
Thursday 13th June
Thursday 11th July
