Melody’s Echo Chamber debut album out November 2012

Melodys Echo ChamberBrit-rock guitar, psychedelic charm and French pop vocals combine for the upcoming release of Melody’s Echo Chamber’s debut album, Melody’s Echo Chamber. It was given a release date of remember remember the fifth of November 2012, and the record is the first from Real World Record Company’s latest impressive signing.

Melody’s Echo Chamber is the name given to the band by its creator, Melody Prochet, as well as her first full album. The singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has got a lot going for her and based on the first tastes of the material from the album we had high expectations for a sultry psych-rock showcase.

The first single from the album, I Follow You, is also released on the 5th November 2012 and features pop tones with hints of the psychedelia and Brit-rock guitar. However, preview track, Endless Shore, takes these to the next level with comparisons to The Coral, Blur, Kate Bush and Grace Slick. Psych circulation and great vocals swirl together in the track something that’s as much of a chill-out song as it is rock infused.

The distortion, fuzz and echo reverberation of the electric guitar on Endless Shore is class, backing up Melody’s vocals to perfection. It’s all set off by the synch overlay harmonies, which bring the song to life beyond the confines of simple guitar psychedelia, making it just a little eighties, as well as the obvious sixties influence.

With the likes of Knickers, Francois and the Atlas Mountains and now Melody’s Echo Chamber, it’s cool to see the influence of French pop creeping into the British music scene.
